Summer Camp
A week long camp where youth are challenge to grow individually and develop close bonds with their cabins. This week is a life altering experience for many.

full days and nights
This camp and staff were able to put a light back into my daughters eyes, as well as some self-confidence after a very trying year of mental health issues and suicide attempts. I have not seen my daughter smile as big as she did at the end of the week when we picked her up. The week she spent with her peers, Child and Youth, and the Y camp staff was transformative for her in so many ways, and I can’t even begin to thank them enough for the beginning of the beautiful journey that they have encouraged her to find and walk along.
Month of the military child
Every April, the Military Community collaborates to support and celebrate military children and their parents during Month of the Military Child. In addition, people across the nation wear purple to honor the military youth in our community for the sacrifices they have to make throughout their parent’s career. In Iowa, we specifically provide classrooms with celebration kits where military children can share purple up wristbands with their classmates.
